A real wine cellar, especially one conceived to age wines, must guarantee the ideal conditions offered by traditional underground wine cellars: proper and constant temperature and humidity levels, pure air, total obscurity, and absolute tranquillity.
If you don't have such a natural cellar, the best solution is an "artificial" cellar. Be warned: a simple derivative from a refrigerator equipped with wooden wine racks and other accessories does not make an adequate wine cellar. To age wine, protecting it while it develops to full maturity, a true wine cellar must be conceived especially for this. It must respect 5 golden rules.
