A perfectly constant and uniform temperature
Natural convection controlled by thermodynamic effects ensures an ideal temperature of 12°C, constant and uniform from the cellar's top to bottom . Temperature changes in each bottle of wine are expressed in tenths of a degree. Unlike other wine cellars of competing brands, Climadiff maintains this perfect temperature uniformity without a mechanical air circulation system, source of vibrations and dryness.
Double mechanical thermostat to create a specific high-quality environment
External thermometer to adapt to surrounding climate conditions
The winter system, a standard feature on every models, is used to maintain the ideal temperature for ageing wine cellars installed in buildings with room temperatures that can drop to between +10°C and 0°C.
With excellent insulation (5 cm) and two high-quality mechanical thermostats equipped with interior and exterior temperature sensors , temperatures can be regulated to meet the harshest exterior conditions: +40°C to 0°C.

Full door and black inner chamber for total obscurity
Climadiff ageing wine cellars are equipped with a full door, the only solution that guarantees total obscurity and prevents any risk of UV damage. Some models are equipped with subdued lights , specially designed to read wine labels without having to turn on lights and lighting other bottles, which are protected by wine shelves.
Activated charcoal filters to eliminate odours
In Climadiff ageing wine cellars, air is replaced in a natural, slow and controlled manner. The activated charcoal filter eliminates all risk of unpleasant odours (exhaust gas in garages, heating fuel in basements, etc.) that could transit via the surrounding air, which is necessary to maintain proper humidity levels.
Quadruple vibrations absorption system
Like any appliance with moving parts, a compressor creates vibrations. To prevent these vibrations from reaching the bottles, Climadiff ageing wine cellars are equipped with four vibration barriers:
- 1. The compressor is fixed to the frame using natural
rubber buffers.
- 2. The high inertia frame supporting the compressor
is specially reinforced to eliminate resonance.
- 3. A high-density polyurethane foam interface isolates
the internal chamber from the structure.
- 4. Wine racks are also set on natural rubber
shock absorbers
Metal chamber for high-performance humidity control
The metal-lined interior chamber of Climadiff ageing wine cellars contributes to temperature uniformity through its excellent thermal conductivity and natural maintenance of the average humidity rate at between 55% and 65%.
Integrated wine log
Premium ageing wine cellars are equipped with a wine log ® (a Climadiff innovation) inside the door. Invented to allow the management of the cellar by recording entries and exits within the collection.
Universal or reversible wooden wine shelves®
with exclusive shapes
The universal or reversible (Bordeaux/Burgundy) solid wood wine shelves have specific shapes or alignment / separations designed for optimal, secure storage of a diverse collection of wines with several different types of bottles.
Dimensions calculated to maximize real capacity
Unlike appliances simply derived from refrigerators, the dimensions of all Climadiff ageing and conditioning wine cellars are calculated to correspond to the size of wine bottles.
Bottles may be stored neck to neck without losing space. This nearly doubles the real capacity compared to ordinary cellars, for the same exterior size.
