CAVAVIN CELEBRATES 40 YEARS OF BOTTLING IN SAINT-ÉMILION
In Saint-Émilion, CAVAVIN celebrated 40 years in the bottle in an atmosphere befitting its history: over 800 products tasted, 600 wines and champagnes, 200 spirits, more than 40 new products, and 400 participants from all over France and abroad. Two days of discoveries, encounters and emotions to celebrate four decades of passion, audacity and conviviality.
The CAVAVIN anniversary convention brought together franchised cavistes, partner winemakers, suppliers and head office teams for an exceptional weekend in Saint-Émilion. Two days punctuated by professional meetings, wine and spirits tastings and the discovery of new products from partner producers. The event provided an opportunity to strengthen ties within the network and discuss future prospects, while reaffirming the network's founding values: passion, proximity and transmission.
THE GRAND TASTING
The highlight of the convention, the Grande Dégustation, highlighted the rich partnership between the network's wine merchants and winemakers. More than 150 exhibitors were on hand to showcase their latest products and share their expertise with the network's wine merchants. This major tasting event enabled wine merchants to discover the diversity of products, explore new market trends and strengthen their direct links with producers. A highlight that illustrates the richness of the partnership between CAVAVIN and its winemakers, as well as the central place given to exchange and advice in the brand's universe.
A GALA EVENING TO CELEBRATE 40 YEARS
Château Fonroque, a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé, hosted the 40th anniversary party. In an elegant yet festive atmosphere, participants celebrated CAVAVIN's anniversary with a gourmet dinner accompanied exclusively by Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé wines. The occasion was also marked by the induction ceremony of the Jurade de Saint-Émilion, a symbolic gesture saluting the contribution and commitment of CAVAVIN wine merchants.
"40 years in the bottle means 40 years of shared passion, mutual trust and the desire to go further together. Above all, CAVAVIN is a collective that moves forward with the same enthusiasm as when it started."
Olivier Mermuys, Managing Director of CAVAVIN
PROPERTY VISITS
The following day, participants continued their immersion through visits to properties that symbolize the diversity and richness of the Saint-Émilion terroir. From Château Ausone to Château de Ferrand, via Château Fonroque, Château La Gaffelière, Château Bellevue and Château Fleur de Lisse, each stop offered a privileged moment of exchange and discovery with the winemakers. The day ended with a visit to Château de Roquemont, a CAVAVIN property and training and transmission center for the network's franchisees.
The event was also marked by the presentation of awards recognizing the performance and commitment of CAVAVIN cavistes over the year:
- Bronze: Sylvain Dumas - CAVAVIN Versailles
- Silver: Gilles Detraz - CAVAVIN Palaiseau
- Gold: Patrick Malval - CAVAVIN Aubière
The Gold Award will enable Patrick Malval to represent the network at the next world competition in Brussels, Armenia. A moment of conviviality and recognition, true to the spirit of sharing that has animated the network for 40 years.
